The top players in this list are International Masters with an Elo above 2400, and Grandmasters with an Elo rating above 2500. Predrag Nikolic was accorded the title of Grandmaster in 1983 and the International Master title in 1980 and has a FIDE rating of 2541 and a Peak rating of 2676. He clinched the Zagreb International tournament in 1987 and the Vidmar Memorial championship in 1989. Nikolic has represented his country in the chess olympiads a couple of times, the last being in 2002. He clinched the 2015 World Senior tournament.

Borki Predojevic earned the title of Grandmaster in 2005, the International Master title in 2003, and the FIDE Master title in 2000. In 2016, he was recognized as a FIDE trainer. He has a peak rating of 2655 and a FIDE rating of 2584. At the European club cup in 2004, he won the silver medal with his Bosnia team members. He has also played for his country in five chess olympiads, with his last one being in 2014. He is three time Bosnian chess champions including years 2001, 2003, and 2004.
