Nodirbek Yakubboev is an Uzbek chess Grandmaster born on January 23, 2002, in , Uzbekistan. Yakubboev was awarded the title of Grandmaster in 2019. As of October 2022, his FIDE rating was 2663, while his Peak rating was 2656 as of September 2022. His older sister, Nilufar Yakubbaeva, has won the Women ‘s category of the Uzbekistani Chess Tournament.
The Beginning
Yakubboev actively got involved in chess tournaments from 2014 to 2021. Between those years, Yakubboev played 357 games with an overall record of 134 wins, 115 draws, and 46 losses. Yakubboev has won the Uzbekistani Chess Tournament three times: in 2016, 2018, and 2020. In 2021, Yakubboev finished second in the Zone 3.4 Zonal Open Tournament, advancing to the Chess World Cup.
