In the last list of the top Chess players we published, we went over the best English Chess players. Now in this article, we’re ranking the best Polish Chess players from Poland, starting with the number ten spot in FIDE.
10. Bartlomeij Heberla

In 2001, Heberla won the polish U16. He got the title of grandmaster in 2006. Barloomiej has also managed to secure several medals in Junior Chess in Poland: the gold in the U16 in 2001, three silvers in U14 (1999), U16(2000), and the U20(2003), and a bronze in the U20 in 2003. He carried the Polish Junior Rapid Chess Championship two times in 1999 and 2001. Heberla was also part of the polish team chess players, where he got three team gold medals in 2007, 2008, and 2010. As far as his wins go, he also carried the polish Blitz Championship in 2010.

Krasenkow earned the title grandmaster in 1989, his internal master in 1988, and the title national master in 1982 in the USSR. He has won chess games championships in Poland in 2000 and 2002. Krasenkow has participated in polish team championships and won 14 times from 1991,1993 to 1995,1997,1998 to 2005, and 2009.

Jacek got his grandmaster title in 2012 and secured wins for Poland in the Junior Chess Championships. 2006 was when he carried the Worlds Youth Chess Championship. He also played in several polish team games and managed to get an Individual medal in 2011, an individual gold, and a team bronze in 2014. He took the bronze medal when he played in the 2013 Summer Universiade.
7. Grzegorz Gajewski

Gajewski earned his grandmaster title in 2006 from FIDE. He carried the Capelle La Grande Opening in 2011 and the 14th opening of International de Sants after winning a tie break. 2015 is when he secured the Polish chess championship. He was part of the chess team for Poland in 2008 in the Chess Olympiads. In 2007 he got an individual silver medal, and he also took the second position in the 2014 World Chess Championship.
6. Mateusz Bartel

Bartel earned his grandmaster title in 2005 and managed to secure wins in the Polish chess championship for four years: 2006 and 2010 to 2012. He was also able to carry the European championship for those below 18 years in 2003. In February 2012, he tied for the number one position with Paveland and Anton, but he managed to win the tiebreaker in the Aeroflot Opening. He got a bronze medal in the European Championship game in 2015, hosted in Jerusalem.
5. Wojciech Moranda

Moranda got the title of grandmaster in 2009. He managed to secure several medals in the junior chess championship: 1 bronze in the U14(2002), two silvers in U18(2005) and the U18(2006), and two gold medals in the U16 in 2003 and the U20 in 2007. Moranda represented Poland in the World Junior Chess Championships and the European Chess championships. 2009 was when he carried the Rubinstein Memorial title, and 2012 was when he secured the Student Championship in Poland. For instance, he also played chess team games, the Summer Universiade in 2013, where his team got a bronze medal.
4. Kacper Piorun

Bartosz was awarded the FIDE Grandmaster title after becoming the Polish national champion in 2008. As of May 2022, his FIDE rating had hit 2636. He has a peak rating of 2660. Bartosz represented Poland six times at both Chess Olympiads and the European Team Chess tournament. He was a participant at the Chess World Cup in 2011 but was knocked out by Victor Bologan on the first attempt. Bartosz triumphed in the Riga Technical University Open tournament in 2013.
2. Radoslaw Wojtaszek

Wojtaszek is a three times winner of the Polish championships having won them in 2005, 2014, and 2016. He was able to defeat notable chess players in the Dortumund tournament in 2017. His qualification in 2019 earned him a chance in the FIDE Grand Prix for the first time. At the Biel Chess Festival Tournament in 2020, he competed and emerged victorious against other top-ranked grandmasters like Pentala Harikrishna, who was a runner up with half a point less than Wojtaszek. He garnered a high score of 37 points in that competition.

Profiles
Duda at the age of 15 years, was presented the Grandmaster title in 2013, making him the second-youngest grandmaster of all time and also the second youngest Polish grandmaster ever after Dariusz Swiercz. He won the U10 World Youth Chess tournament in 2008. He also was crowned victorious in the Polish tournament and Chess World Cup in 2018 and 2021 respectively. He is also a two-time champion of the U8 Polish Youth Championship.
