While Nebraska does not currently have any players that hold the game’s top honor of Grandmaster, this could change in the future.
However, Keaton Kiewra holds the title of International Master and is steadily working his way toward full Grandmaster status. His impressive chess career includes his capturing of the Nebraska State Chess Title in 2002. This occurred when he was only 14 years old.

Millard Branch Library Chess Club – The club meets on Saturdays from 3 to 4;30 pm at the Millar Branch Library in Omaha.
Camelot Chess Club – The Camelot Chess Club meets on Mondays from 7 to 9 pm and Fridays from 1 to 3 pm. The meetings are held at Omaha’s Camelot Community Center.

The North American Martyrs Scholastic – The North American Martyrs Scholastic is a scholastic level chess tournament is held annually in Lincoln.
